2019 NVS, Napa Valley Select Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Maker Notes – Expressions of cooking spices, tobacco, and mocha hint to the complexity and balance of what’s to come from the 2019 NVS Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate finds complex layers of dark fruits, coffee bean and pencil shavings, balanced with ripe tannins that linger throughout a finish that lasts longer than expected. Decant and enjoy now or cellar this wine for a decade or more, as it will continue to improve with age.
Accolades
Jeb Dunnuck, 93 | The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon NVS is rock solid and, as far as Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon goes, a terrific value. Giving up a juicy Cabernet nose of darker fruits, cassis, chocolate, tobacco, and just a hint of flowers, it’s medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a forward, undeniably delicious style perfect for drinking over the coming decade. There are just 375 cases made.
2021 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay | Not yet rated
Wine Maker Notes – The 2021 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay may be our greatest expression of Chardonnay from this legendary vineyard. Aromas of Mosambi lime, sea spray, and wildflowers excite the nose. Complex flavors of crushed seashell, herbs, and a beautiful balance of yellow peach and citrus zest greet the palate. Integrated from the nose to the surprisingly long finish, this unfiltered Russian River Valley gem will only get better over the next decade.
