Tasting Notes

“Boich Family Cellar’s Perennius 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a rare selection of the best barrels from the vintage. The 2022 wine offers a bright, deep red ruby color and a succulent nose of dark plum, black berries, mulberry, mocha, and touch of oak baking spice. The mouthfeel is remarkably lush and full of supple tannins as the flavors of black cherry, cassis, fig, dark rose petal and toasty oak linger on the palate for minutes. This is an extraordinary wine that so irresistible now but will easily be rewarded for a few decades in the cellar.” – Peter Marks, Master of Wine

Vintage Notes

Winemaker Jeff Ames | Napa Valley AVA
Cooperage: 22 Months French Oak, Taransaud and Darnajou

The 2022 vintage was marked by intense heat and drought conditions, accelerating ripening and producing smaller, more concentrated berries with rich flavors and firm tannins. While the tannins may be more pronounced, these wines have significant aging potential, likely to soften and develop beautifully. The vintage will appeal to lovers of Napa’s powerful, fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignons, offering both early drinking pleasure and long-term cellaring rewards.

The Napa Valley Appellation brings the ideal combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology, providing excellent consistency vintage-to-vintage. Flanked by the Mayacamas and Vaca Mountain ranges, distinct microclimates and terrains can be found throughout the valley, allowing for a wide range of world-class grape varieties.

Ross Caliendo

Ross Caliendo is a visual artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Landscape, the primary subject of Caliendo’s work, functions as a vessel through which he investigates color and texture, crafting a precise symbiotic energy between the two. The artist synthesizes traditional elements of Surrealism with stylistic elements of Neo-Impressionism, creating natural landscapes that are at once familiar and untravelled.

“Being a Los Angeles-based painter, my work is often inspired by the landscape of California, making this an exciting and meaningful collaboration for me.”Ross Caliendo
