Beckstoffer To Kalon – Iconic wine comes from iconic vineyards, and Beckstoffer To Kalon is one of the most iconic vineyards in the world. A first-growth vineyard, To Kalon, Greek for “highest beauty,” is lined with various clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, creating its signature “spice box” of flavors. Modern trellising and precise farming play a hand in the production of these opulent and coveted vineyard-designated wines.

Oakville AVA – Found on low-lying flatlands between the Mayacamas and Vaca Mountains, Oakville AVA is rife with well-drained gravel soils, producing Bordeaux varietals rich in texture and firm, approachable tannins. A vinicultural treasure, Oakville’s warm climate, unique soil composition and topography are ideal for growing renowned Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vintage Notes – Another exceptional Napa Valley vintage, the 2019 growing season was marked by a wet spring followed by a long, sunny summer with few extreme heat events. Consistent temperatures helped to preserve the freshness in the fruit while allowing abundant hang time – resulting in concentrated clusters with beautiful color, structure, soft tannins, and bright acidity. These wines will age beautifully for years to come.

Accolades – 2019 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker Wine Advocate, 97 | A truly impressive effort, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon is all Clone 337 from Block E1. Marked by scents of sage, loam and black cherries, the wine is also incredibly plush, concentrated and rich, with flavors of dark chocolate and a gently tannic feel akin to cocoa powder on the long-lasting finish.

Jeb Dunnuck, 96 | The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a classic, big, sweet nose of black and blue fruits as well as flower incense, chocolate, and assorted spices. These all carry over to the palate, and the wine is full-bodied, with an undeniably hedonistic slant, sweet tannins, and a great finish. All Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in new barrels, drink it over the coming 10-15 years. 326 cases.
