For those of you that know the Syrah I need say no more. For those of you that do not, I can say that it is the first wine to sell out every year – and that is without a release email to our list. Every October, our Syrah lovers begin to ping me with emails about the sacred juice and I reward their loyalty with a healthy allocation. And by the way, I don’t take it personally that I only hear from you Syrah seekers once a year! Do you only love me for my Syrah? (You know who you are). 

It is a special wine indeed, not only because it tastes great, but also because we only make 50 cases each year and I keep 10 for myself. Some wines simply have more of a story to tell than others, and that is the case with the Boich Family Syrah. When the juice swirls around in your mouth and glides down the back palate for the long, lingering finish, the story begins to emerge. It’s during that finish that you close your eyes, tilt your head slightly up and hear the story the wine is telling you. Some wines have so much to say that you are forced to repeat the process over and over until you really feel like you’ve heard the entire story. By the time you are done, there is nothing left but a smile on your face and the longing to share the experience with your wine-loving friends and family. Enjoy!
